From the street, twin gables with battened detailing, crisp weatherboards and multi-pane windows set the tone. A timber window hood, coach lights and a deep front verandah with white balustrading complete the picture, framing a navy front door with leadlight glass.

Inside, the home opens into a generous living, dining and kitchen space beneath a raked, VJ-lined ceiling. Warm timber floors run throughout. The kitchen combines white Shaker-style cabinetry with a navy VJ-panelled island and stone benchtop, a window splashback and rattan pendants overhead.

The detailing continues through the wet areas. The powder room is fully lined in deep navy VJ panelling, with a wall-hung toilet, brushed brass tapware and a timber shelf. The main ensuite features a floating timber double vanity, brushed brass fittings, large-format tiles and a gloss vertical-tiled shower, opening onto a walk-in robe.

At the rear, large sliding doors open to a covered alfresco area under a VJ-lined gable roof, complete with ceiling fans, an outdoor kitchen and a hardwood deck. It’s built for the Northern Beaches lifestyle, made for entertaining all year round.

Bringing a bungalow aesthetic together with modern open-plan living takes careful detailing. The gable battens, weatherboard setout, VJ ceilings and verandah joinery all had to be built precisely so that the home feels authentic from the street and seamless inside.
